Legal Modification Facts
High Lift Modification Code LS9 and LS10 from the Queensland Code of Practice covers the code for the installation of body lift kits from 50mm to 125mm above the height that the vehicle comes standard with from the manufacturer.
Within the legislation of this code it states that a vehicle can be lifted up to 75mm without a modification plate.
Any modifications over 75mm up to 125mm will require testing and assessment for a modification plate to be issued.
These include checking that the vehicle complies with the code guidelines as well as a lane change test.

When you are issued your Modification Plate there is a Certificate that you will be given by the examiner. You must keep this in the vehicle to present to authorities such as Queensland Transport and Police if you are pulled over. The Modification Plate alone is not compliant when they inspect the vehicle for the plate, the Certificate must be in the vehicle at all times.
